Peter Anderson. Also did opening music to The Fall and Sherlock

For the perfect unity of sound and vision see the cemetery scene  from "Good, bad and the Ugly" or final duel scene from "Once Upon a Time in the West". They used to play ennio morricone music out loud whilst filming  the scenes.Steven Moffat gave a nod to these great westerns in his "Town Called Mercy", Doctor Who series 7 where the villainous doctor moves just like Eli Wallach in the cemetery etc. Great homage.
