Goths and Girls

No paintings in mind at the moment. Summer is always a time of travel because the girls are off school...though I am preparing boards, cutting, sanding, white-washing etc.Its relaxing because its practical and no concentration needed.Im working on random shapes for the boards this time. And looking at medieval "Books of Hours".

I went down memory lane recently too, looking at pictures of punk goth days, so here's a photo of two goths at a garden party! Its Fathers day in Ireland today. This photo is B.C. (before children!)

The necklace is from the Siwa Oasis in Egypt. I wear Bedoiun jewellery, silver with bells, collected from my travels. They make a lovely sound when you move. Sophy says she will always associate that sound with the mamma!

And this photo is after children! Arent they beautiful.Taken in the gardens of the Rupert Brooke tea rooms at Granchester, one of my favourite places near Cambridge. Its a nice walk into the city from there along the river.

Jessy has that ethereal Irish look, while Sophy has an almond eyed Indian look that must go back to her Indian Great-grandfather.
